Our Faculty Members Win the “Young Scientists and Innovators” Competition

On November 11, the results of the national competition among young scientists and innovators, organized by the Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Innovation, were announced in Bishkek.

Young researchers from Osh State University were also recognized with several awards. PhD student Veronika Tursunova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Surgery of the Faculty of International Medicine, received First Degree Diploma in the category “Best Scientific Article of the Year.” She presented her research paper titled “Study on the Impact of Mercury on the Health of Pregnant Women in Kyrgyzstan (Aydarken – Kara-Suu),” published in a Q1 Scopus-indexed journal.

Another recognition went to Aizharkyn Akzholtoeva, a PhD student of the Department of Evidence-Based Medicine. She was awarded the Third Degree Diploma for her research paper “Scientific and Analytical Study of the Infection Control System in Healthcare Institutions of Kyrgyzstan,” published in a Q2 journal.

The competition aimed to support the scientific, research, and innovative initiatives of young scholars and to promote the development of new ideas and technological solutions.
