Osh State University’s Security Service organized an informational session aimed at raising legal awareness among international students regarding the illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

The event was attended by the administration of the Faculty of International Medicine, representatives of the University Security Service, the State Committee for National Security for the city of Osh and Osh region, the Drug Control Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as international students.

Gulmira Zhapakova, a representative of the Drug Control Service, spoke about the dangers of drug and psychotropic substance use, their illegal distribution, associated criminal schemes, and the legal liability for such offenses. She emphasized that drug traffickers often attempt to recruit young people into illegal activities by promising easy and quick money. Zhapakova urged international students to avoid involvement in such activities and to remain vigilant.

During the event, participants were shown short social awareness video clips.

The Head of the Security Service of Osh State University, Nurlakim Arziev, reminded students about the importance of complying with the migration laws of the Kyrgyz Republic.
