On November 7, to mark the Day of Press Workers, Osh State University’s Center for Information and Public Relations organized a friendly football match for media representatives.
The match took place at the Manas Stadium in the Kara-Suu district and brought together journalists from local news agencies, TV channels, radio stations, and the university’s media team.
The event aimed to strengthen professional cooperation among media colleagues and encourage a healthy and active lifestyle.
Information and Press Day, celebrated annually on November 7, honors the work of journalists in Kyrgyzstan. The date commemorates the publication of the first Kyrgyz-language newspaper “Erkin-Too” in 1924. In 1993, the day was officially declared the Day of Mass Media Workers by government decree.
Osh State University continues to contribute to the development of national media through its Information and Public Relations Center, which includes the Umut television studio, the faculty newspaper Didaktika, the student newspaper Nur, and official social media platforms.
