50+ religious leaders completed retraining at Osh State University

More than fifty religious leaders from the city of Osh and Osh Region successfully completed a 72-hour course titled “Professional Development of Religious Leaders”, organized at the Faculty of Theology of Osh State University.

The program covered актуал topics in the field of religion, including traditional Islamic understanding, religion and law, prevention of religious extremism and radicalism, history of madhhabs, national culture, and religious studies.

At the end of the course, certificates were awarded to participants. The ceremony was attended by the Director of the Research Institute under the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, Samagan Myrzaibraimov; the Rector of Osh State University, Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov; the Muftiate representative for the city of Osh, Samidin Atabaev; the representative for Osh Region, Sultanali Gapurov; Deputy Director of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, Fatih Kayajan; and the Dean of the Faculty of Theology, Niyazali Aripov.

During the event, the importance of such training programs aimed at improving the professional level of religious leaders was emphasized. Their significant role in society was also highlighted.

The course was organized jointly by the Center for Professional Development of Osh State University, the southern branch of the National Agency for Religious Affairs and Interethnic Relations under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan.
