On April 22–23, the “Okurman Osh” Book Festival dedicated to World Book Day was held in Osh city. The event was organized by the Osh City Municipality and the National Writers’ Union of Kyrgyzstan.
The festival included book fairs, exhibitions, theater performances, competitions, round tables, and concerts. Students and staff of Osh State University actively participated in the events.
In a reading competition, second-year student Taңcholpon Mamatali kyzy from the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication won first place with 82 points.
The festival also featured workshops and initiatives promoting family reading culture and book exhibitions presented by university staff and volunteers.
