University Staff Take Part in “Design Thinking for Sustainable Development” Training

Vice-rectors, department heads, institute directors, and deans of Osh State University are participating in a two-day training titled “Design Thinking for Sustainable Development: Designing Educational Solutions in Higher Education.”

The program consists of six modules and combines both theoretical and practical sessions. Participants are learning about the “green university” model, principles of sustainable development, the design of innovative educational solutions, and effective teamwork organization.

During the practical sessions, attendees are gaining skills in generating, modeling, prototyping, and testing creative ideas, as well as mastering the stages and methods of design thinking.

The goal of the training is to equip university faculty with practical tools to apply design thinking in their work, integrate it into the educational process, and develop innovative pedagogical solutions based on sustainability principles.

The seminar is being conducted by Kalyibubu Dzhunushalieva and Damira Sharshenova, lecturers at Ishenaly Arabaev Kyrgyz State University in Bishkek.
