QS has released the results of its 2026 QS World University Rankings: Sustainability, which evaluates universities worldwide based on their environmental, social, and governance impact.
This year’s edition includes 2,000 universities recognized for their strong commitment to sustainable development principles. Osh State University (OSHSU) ranked 1,251st for Environmental and Social Impact and 1,107th for Governance. Based on these indicators, the university placed 1,501st overall. The assessment considered a wide range of OSHSU’s activities relevant to sustainability.
Three higher education institutions from Kyrgyzstan were included in the ranking.
The QS Sustainability 2026 ranking evaluates the global impact of universities across eight categories (indicators) that reflect their contribution to environmental protection, social well-being, and responsible governance. These rankings highlight how actively and effectively universities address issues of environmental and social responsibility.
Earlier, QS published the results of the QS Asia University Rankings 2026, in which Osh State University ranked 22nd among Asian universities. A total of 1,526 institutions across Asia were included this year.
