Our Rugby Players Represent Kyrgyzstan at the Asian Championship in Oman
Osh State University rugby players Shumkarbek Oken uulu and Argen Dykanov proudly represented Kyrgyzstan at the Asian Rugby Championship held in Oman from October 22 to 24.
This event marked a historic moment — it was the first time the Kyrgyzstan national rugby team participated in the Asian Championship. The team faced competitors from Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Palestine, and Saudi Arabia, gaining valuable international experience.
Currently, four Osh State University rugby players are part of the Kyrgyz national team. Osh State University is the first university in southern Kyrgyzstan to establish a rugby team, which now successfully competes in the national championship.
The university congratulates its athletes on this achievement and wishes them continued success on the international stage.
