New Cooperation Initiatives Discussed with the Eurasian National University

On April 28, the rector of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Kazakhstan), Yerlan Sydykov, held an online meeting with the leadership team of Osh State University, headed by Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov. During the discussion, the parties explored expanding the Kazakh Language and Culture Center at Osh State University starting from the upcoming academic year, as well as establishing a branch campus of the Eurasian National University in Osh based on the facilities of Osh State University.

The branch will award diplomas solely from the Eurasian National University. It was highlighted that work is currently underway to secure the necessary license, with plans to begin admitting students by September 2025.

It was also announced that an official education cooperation agreement is expected to be signed during the forthcoming meeting between the presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, scheduled for August in Bishkek. This agreement aims to strengthen collaboration and enhance academic and scientific ties between the two countries.

Earlier, in 2022, the Kazakh Language and Culture Center of the Eurasian National University was launched at Osh State University, and in 2023, the Kyrgyz Language and Culture Center of Osh State University began operating at the Eurasian National University.
