On 10-11th May, 2018, the Theological Department, in collaboration with the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (TIKA), held International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the medieval Islamic theologian Ali bin Osmon al-Oshiy. 25 people from Turkey, 3 from Uzbekistan and the professors from other Kyrgyz universities attended the conference. Thanks to the reports made by the guests of the Conference, the society learned interesting facts from the life of the theologian and the features of his work. It should be noted that Oshiy was a widely known theologian ın hıs time, and his work is still in demand in religious institutions.
