From March 26 to March 31, 2018, on the basis of the Department of Economic, Social and Political Geography of the Faculty of Natural and Geographical Sciences and the Department of International Law, Business and Tourism of the Kyrgyz-European Faculty, is passing training course "New Economic Geography (content and methods of teaching at the course" Geography. Advanced level ")" according to the educational and methodical complex V.N. Kholina.

The program was prepared jointly by the Chair of Regional Economics and Geography of the Russian University of Peoples` Friendship (Russia) and the Department of Geography, Land Management and Cadastre of KazNU named after al-Farabi (Kazakhstan), KNU. Zh. Balasagyna (Kyrgyzstan) within the framework of the project M1.1.2 P1 of the PFUR program "5-100" (development and implementation of supplementary education programs in partnership with leading Russian and foreign universities, involving leading world scientists occupying leading positions in a certain the field of science, with the use of electronic and remote technologies).

Geographers and economists from Osh State University and other higher education institutions of the south republic and teachers of secondary schools in Osh and Osh oblast took part in the seminar.
