College History

Uzgen International Medical College of OSH State University was opened as a medical educational institution on the basis of the decision of the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 09-42256 of July 25, 2000 and the resolution of the Academic Council of Osh State University No. 4 of January 15, 2000

On December 29, 2003, by the decision of the Academic Council of OSH State University, it was renamed into a Medical School of OSH State University .

The Medical College is headed by Excellence in Education of the Kyrgyz Republic, Honorary Health Worker, Associate Professor Stanbaev Ozgonbai Tillebayevich.

By the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic of 2008 No. 487-1 and the order of the Osh State University of October 31, 2008 No. 913, it was transformed into the Uzgen Medical College of Osh State University.

By the protocol of the Academic Council of Osh State University of May 25, 2018 No. 7 and by order of the rector No. 438 dated May 26, 2018, the Uzgen Medical College of Osh State University was renamed into the Uzgen International Medical College of Osh State University.

In March 2019, the specialties "Obstetrics", "General Medicine", "Nursing" and "Pharmacy" in 4 programs passed independent program accreditation by the Agency for Accreditation of Educational Programs and Organizations (AAPO) and received a certificate No. VK190000405 dated 04/05/2024 on the basis of the agency′s order dated April 5, 2019 No. 3/19/02.
