Every year, a fresh generation of first-year students in the most popular
university in the south of Kyrgyzstan begins their journey into the
wonderful world of knowledge and scientific discoveries.
Any student, and even a first-year student, can join the teams of Osh State
University scientists and contribute to the promising scientific research
of the university, and therefore to the development of society.
The latest incl. depends on the powerful development of the humanities.
Mass communication plays a significant role in society today, allowing an
unlimited circle of people to receive various information, using it for
their own purposes. In this regard, serious philological training is
required not only for the popular professions of a journalist, translator,
advertising and PR specialist, but also for all professions that involve
intensive communication with people: a blogger, psychologist, politician,
social worker, etc.
As a result, the role of philological education increases significantly,
moreover, integrated education, which provides for the development by the
student of several areas of activity that complement each other.
At the moment, the Faculty of Russian Philology of Osh State University
graduates students in two directions:
550300 “Philological education (Russian language and literature)”
531100 “Linguistics (theory and methods of teaching foreign languages and
cultures)”
However, new times call for new solutions.
Therefore, in the new academic year, we decided to announce a set of
additional training profiles:
Russian language and literature + English
Russian language and literature + Kazakh language
Russian language and literature + Uzbek language
Replenishment of the cultural and professional experience of our students, additional motivation for learning foreign languages is realized through participation in mobility programs. Every year our students participate in international academic programs and study in Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan.
A great competitive advantage in the labor market for our specialists is also given by the implementation of the joint educational program of Osh State University with a number of Russian, Kazakh, Uzbek universities (ENU, SUSU) and obtaining double diplomas.
