The Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics was established first as a Fundamental and Theoretical Disciplines when the International Medical Faculty was found in 2015 by the decision of Board of Science of Osh State University.

The Department of Fundamental and Theoretical Disciplines had included not only chemical, biological, physical, social and humanitarian courses but also medicinal disciplines and courses such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and histology. One year later the department was divided into two departments; Department of Natural and Humanitarian Sciences and Department of Morphological Sciences. In 2017 chemical, biological, physical and mathematical disciplines have seperated from humanitarian sciences, and became independent department which called Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

The Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics offers highly-innovative educational programs in the medical faculty. These programs are comprised of theoretical fundamental courses and hands-on laboratory experiments in areas of biological, physical, chemical, biochemical sciences.

Our program provides training for students planning careers in the medical sciences and also for those in biology, health related disciplines. Our curriculum has been designed to provide students with a solid foundation in medicine, with course offerings that are in line with the best of international standards.

An unique strength of our program is its interdisciplinary approach to teaching and research.

Scientists in chemistry, biomedical sciences, medicinal chemistry, theoretical physics and other field may be interested in teaching, research-cooperation and education with our department and our International Medical Faculty(School) of Osh State University.
