In 2018, Osh State University was the first among the universities of the Kyrgyz Republic to pass independent international institutional accreditation from the Kazakhstani agency IAAR. From 2018-2019, this agency determines the national ranking of universities in Kyrgyzstan. Over the past three years, Osh State University has been ranked first in this General Rating.

The certificates were presented by the Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Kanybek Isakov during the "Digital University" conference.
