About us

  • Osh State University (OshSU) is a recognized leader of higher education in southern Kyrgyzstan, established 1939.  In 1951, according to the decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR under №1759, the Osh State Pedagogical Institute was established, which was transformed into the Osh State University by the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic №202 of June 17, 1992.
  •  According to the decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic dated August 30, 2017, for a special contribution to the development of the socio-economic, spiritual and intellectual potential of Kyrgyzstan, Osh State University was awarded with "Dank Order".
  •  Based on the results of independent international accreditation procedures, only 117 educational programs of higher and secondary vocational education were successfully accredited.
  •  Currently, Osh State University cooperates with 267 universities from 33 foreign countries. Thousands of students study in various specialties  from the Czech Republic, Spain, Turkey, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, China,   Korea, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and other countries of the near and far abroad in Osh State University.

SCHOLARSHIP

Annualy, the top 10 students receive a $ 1,200  "Atuulduk" Scholarship.

3 students  receive a scholarship "Umut" from the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
