The history of the chair


The Department of Algebra and Geometry was founded in 1971. The first members of the department were T. Mamurov, D. S. Mustafin, T. Chynkaraev, S. L. Kravchenko, N. I. Sabirova, N. S. Selivanovalar. , associate professor Chynkaraev T.
In 1972-1979, the department was headed by D.S. Mustafin. During these years, the participant of the Great Patriotic War, the owner of a number of warrants and medals Tavakal Mamurov, also S.L. Kravchenko, N.S. Selivanova, S. Satymkulov, B. Akmatov, T. Borubaev, K. Tazhibaev. How young specialists started their working path with OshPI (now Osh State University), laureate of the Lenin Komsomol, Ph.D., associate professor, now director of the Department of International Relations of Osh State University A.O. Turdubaev also worked at the Department of Algebra and Geometry.
As the head of the department D.S. Mustafin made a great contribution to the effective organization of the educational process, to the improvement of the qualification training of students, and to the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel.
In 1979-1985, the head of the department was Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor G. Mamaturdiev, and in 1985-1991, the head of the Department was Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Zh. Satarov. At present, Professor Zh. Satarov is the only doctor of physical and mathematical sciences in the direction of algebra in our country. 1991-2018, the Department of Algebra and Geometry was headed by Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor G. Matieva, and since 2018, the Department has been headed by Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor T.M. Papiev. Professor G. Matieva is the only doctor of science in differential geometry in our state, in 2008-2015 she was a member of dissertation councils at the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic and Osh State University, and in 2015-2019 (until June 2, 2019) she led the dissertation council at Osh State University, the Institute of Natural Resources of the Southern Branch of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic and ZHAGU, is also a corresponding member of the III World Union of Women Scientists. At present, Professor G. Matieva and Associate Professor T.M. Papiev are members of the dissertation council K 01.19.599 at Osh State University, the Institute of Natural Resources of the Southern Branch of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic and ZHAGU. Since 2007-2008 academic year, Corresponding Member of the National Assembly of the Kyrgyz Republic, Honored Scientist of the Kyrgyz Republic, Vice-President of the Union of Mathematicians of Kyrgyzstan, member of the editorial board of the American journal "Mathematics and Statistics" has been working at the department. In 2008-2015, he led the dissertation council at Osh State University, at present, as a member of the dissertation council at the Institute of Mathematics of the NAC KR and KRSU, he contributes to the preparation of highly qualified scientific personnel.
The department conducts work in three research areas: "Modern problems of fractal geometry and the geometry of partial mappings of Euclidean space" (headed by Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Matieva G., performers: Borboeva G.M., Papieva T M., Artykova Zh.A., Kurbanbayeva N.N., Mustapakulova Ch.A., Kanybek kyzy A.); “Singularly Perturbed Ordinary Differential Equations and Partial Differential Equations with a Small Parameter and Singular Points” (supervisor, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Alymkulov K., performer: Tursunov D.A., Azimov B.A. and other faculty members) "Features of the use of new technologies in teaching mathematical disciplines in universities" (supervisors. Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Matieva G., Performers: N.N. Selivanova, Borboeva G.M., Papieva T.M., Artykova Zh.A.).
The results of many scientific studies by professors Matieva G., K Alymkulov and other members of the department were reported and published at numerous international and regional conferences (Moscow - 1983, 1984, 2011, 2019, Tallinn, Estonia - 1984, Chisinau, Moldova - 1988, Kazan, Tatarstan - 1992, Trieste, Italy - 1997, Samos, Greece - 1998, Bishkek - 2000, 2001, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, Almaty - 2009, 2015, Astana - 2012, Baku - 2014, Malaysia - 2018, Ukraine, Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky - 2018, Tolyatti - 2019).
At the competition “The Best Teacher of Osh State University” in the 2004-2005 academic year, Borboeva G., and in the 2006-2007 academic year Papiev T. took first places. In 2007-2008 and 2010-2011 academic years Selivanova N.S. took second place in the competition “The best educational and methodological complex”. In the 2010-2011 academic year, Borboeva G. took second place in the competition “The Best Lecturer of Osh State University”. The department in the 2006-2007 academic year took second place in the competition “The best department of Osh State University” and in the 2009-2010 academic year took second place in the competition “The Best Educational and Methodological Complex”. In the 2008-2009 academic year Borboeva G. and in the 2010-2011 academic year Papiev T.M. took second place in the competition "The Best Curator of Osh State University". In 2018, on the occasion of the day of science at the competition “The best teaching aid”, the textbook by G. Matieva and G.M. Borboeva took 1st place.
For the first time in the history of the department, graduate student G.M. Borboeva in 2009, under the guidance of Professor G. Matieva, she defended her Ph.D. thesis in the specialty 01.01.04 - geometry and topology. Also, under her leadership, Ph.D. dissertations were defended by applicants for the department T.M. Papieva (2013), Zh.A. Artykova (2014), N.N. Kurbanbaeva (2016). Under the guidance of Professor K. Alymkulov D.A. Tursunov. 2014) defended his doctoral dissertation, and the teachers of KUU Ch.Kh. Abdullaeva (2014) and A.A. Khalmatov (2015), teacher of Osh State University B.A. Azimov (2017), lecturer at the Institute of Social Development and Entrepreneurship in Bishkek M.K. Omuraliev (2018).
