Scientific research activities.

Teaching stuff and areas of scientific research.

Nowadays, the faculty has 7 chairs and 98 members of teaching stuff. 6 of them are Doctors of sciences and professors. One of them is a correspondent of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, except that there are 38 candidates of sciences and docents.

8 scientific-mathematical seminars and 12 different circles work continuously at the faculty. Since 2008, there is a special dissertation council for the defense of candidate’s dissertations under Osh State University. It is headed by professor K.Alymkulov and 19 senior teachers defended their dissertations and received their diplomas. Nowadays, 01.07.554 dissertation council is headed by professor G.Matieva.

Every year the faculty holds a science week, teachers and students make their presentations during this week. Also, there will be competitions for the best scientific newspaper, best crossword puzzle, for the best scientific anecdote, for the best scientific reports and for an active participants in the seminars. Winners will be awarded with diplomas and certificates.

The research work of the faculty is well developed and has connections with the USA and Hungary.

The research work of the faculty began in 1951. B.V.Opelender, D.Zh. Mustafin, M.Abdyldaev, S.Karimov, S.Abdykadyrov were the first scientists in the fields of mathematics. From 1980 to 2018, Alymkulov K, Satarov.Zh.S, Sopuev A, Matieva G, Abduvaliev A.O, SApbekova A, Osmonaliev A, Attokurova A, Sopuev U, Tursunov D, Arapbaev R.N, Kojobekov K.G, Borboeva T.M, Azimbaev M, Chamashev M, Papieva T.M, Toigonbaeva A.K, Artykova Zh.A, Keldibekova A.O, Omorov Sh, Kedeibaeva D, Zulpukarova D, Atyrova P, Bedelova N.S, Erkebaeva U.Z, Kudieva A.Zh, Arkabaev N.K, Azimov B, Toktorbaeva A and Moldoyarov U joined the ranks of scientists.

Nowadays, research work at the faculty of mathematics is carried out in the following areas.

05.13.06. - Application of computer technology, mathematical modeling and mathematical methods in scientific research.
